For Nikolas Georgopalis, growth has always been tied to stepping outside of his comfort zone. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Nikolas credits much of his mindset and motivation to the example set by his family, especially his father. After immigrating to the United States from Greece at a young age, unable to speak English, his father went on to build a successful commercial painting business and create opportunities for his family.
Watching that journey firsthand left a lasting impression on Nikolas and shaped the way he approaches both work and life today.
“He didn’t know how to speak English, and still built a successful business and life for our family. Watching that was very inspiring.”
After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in Business Management in 2020, Nikolas entered the workforce during one of the most uncertain periods in recent history. The pandemic had shut much of Maryland down, and opportunities were limited. He initially worked for his father before deciding he wanted a new environment and a fresh start. That decision ultimately brought him to Florida.
Before finding Atlas Hartmann, Nikolas explored several industries, including automotive and healthcare billing. While each role taught him something valuable, none felt like the long-term path he was searching for. He later transitioned into life insurance sales, but quickly realized the role was not aligned with the type of work he wanted to build a future around.
That search for something more meaningful eventually led him to Atlas Hartmann.
Finding Growth Through Opportunity
What originally attracted Nikolas to our company was the opportunity for long-term growth. He was not just looking for another job. He wanted a career path where he could continue developing professionally while building meaningful relationships along the way.
Since joining Atlas Hartmann as a Senior Account Manager, Nikolas says he has grown in nearly every area of his life. From improving his confidence and public speaking abilities to strengthening his time management and leadership skills, the experience has pushed him to become more disciplined and adaptable.
“I’ve learned that setbacks are just opportunities to grow. Each challenge I’ve faced here has helped me level up.”
Much of that growth has also come from the culture surrounding him. Nikolas values workplaces that emphasize both achievement and relationships, and he believes Atlas Hartmann fosters an environment in which employees are encouraged to develop as professionals and as people.
He credits mentorship as one of the most impactful parts of his experience, specifically citing CEO Jason Goldberg as someone who has guided him throughout his journey.
“I’ve learned a lot from him both professionally and personally. He’s someone I can go to for advice about business or life in general,” Nikolas shared.
Leading Through Consistency
Today, Nikolas is focused on continuing his progression toward assistant manager while helping develop the people around him. One accomplishment he is especially proud of is helping his team members earn promotions into leadership roles.
He believes leadership comes from experience and confidence. He values leaders who stay involved, guide people through challenges, and lead by example rather than directing from a distance. That mindset shapes how he works with his team and approaches day-to-day development.
Outside of work, Nikolas maintains productivity through goal setting, scheduling, and accountability. Every week, he creates clear production goals and maps out his schedule in advance to stay organized and focused.

His advice to others entering our industry is simple: stay coachable.
“Be a student. Ask a lot of questions. Try to be a sponge and absorb everything. There’s many people in the industry with a lot of knowledge that will guide you in the right direction.”
As he continues working toward his long-term goal of becoming a business consultant, Nikolas remains focused on steady growth, consistency, and creating opportunities for himself and those around him.
